INGREDIENTS:

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb chicken breasts, grilled & sliced
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 15 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 8 oz tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup light buttermilk
  • 4 scoops Bubs Naturals protein powder
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Cook penne noodles as directed.

  2. Add tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, and tomato paste to a large saucepan.

  3. Stir olive oil, honey, vinegar, basil, salt, onion powder, thyme, and pepper. Next, stir in buttermilk.

  4. Bring sauce to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, whisk in collagen protein, and simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Stir in cooked penne.

  6. Serve topped with parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
